Roskachestvo (Autonomous Non-commercial Organization “Russian System of Quality”) together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture gave out tastes of 19 samples of Russian rose wine of middle price range purchased in retailing chains and specialized stores.
23 Rusian and 2 foreign experts took part in “blind” sensory analysis. “Vysokiy Bereg. Zweigelt” made by “Kuban-Vino”and two sorts originated in Crimea (ZB wine Rose «Zolotaya Balka» and ESSE Rose «Satera») are inside the top three. The experts also considered as best wines of such trademarks as Chateau Tamagne, Esse, Fanagoria, ZB, «Vysokiy Bereg», «Sauk-Dere», «Usadba Perovskikh», «Rosa Tamani Chateau Tamagne» and “Kuban-Vino” and “Kaberne Rosovoe” produced by «Fanagoria».
Wines were rated on a 100 point scale in accordance with to the requirements of International Organization of Wines and Vines (OIV). According to the state standard the wines pretend to be of high quality has to have not less than 71 points.
As a result of the analysis only 10% of wines failed to reach the low limit and nine samples exceeded the level of the state standard and entered the WineMag of Russia.
