In the Big Port of St. Petersburg, work continues on creating facilities for bunkering of liquefied petroleum gas (LNG) and new terminals. So, the Baltic Fuel Company has put into operation the export terminal “Turukhtanny islands” with two berths for transshipment of oil products. Since 2020, the annual transshipment volume can grow up to 4-5 million tons.
In the ports of the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland, several large bunkering LNG infrastructure projects have been launched – in Ust-Luga (Baltic), Vysotsk (Cryogas), Petersburg (SPG-Gorskaya), etc. The specialized bunkering fleet is also being replenished . The company Gazprom Neft located in St. Petersburg, for example, will put into operation a large (by 3 thousand cubic meters) ice-class bunker tanker by mid-2019, which will operate in the Northwest.
