Companies from People’s Republic of China may take part in construction of the plant on production of methanol in the town Skovorodino in the Amur region. It is reported in the website of the Russian Government.
«Chinese power and engineering corporation is ready to begin plant designing. Chengzhi is ready to take part in creation of a new production. At present negotiations with the Group of Companies ECH is carried with regard to possible parameters of participation of the Chinese company» – it is said in the report.
A representative of the government notes that Far East Investment and Export Agency will render assistance with regard to attracting investment and export support. At presence of the Russian vice prime-minister Mr. Trutnev a memorandum on cooperation was signed on realization of the project on construction of the plant on production of methanol between Far East Investment and Export Agency and Chengzhi. It is supposed that volume of production will be 1 million tons per year.
«During last five years the share of Far East in attracting investment has been increased 15 times – from 2% in 2013 to 30% in 2017. It is important to note that new investments diversify resource-based economy of Far East. 90% of current investments are not related to extraction of mineral resources. Every factory put into operation gives jobs, new taxes to local budgets and provides construction of new infrastructure» – Leonid Petukhov, the head of Far East Investment and Export Agency explained.
